Location and surroundings of our farmhouse with apartments in Seis am Schlern
Our farm has a peculiar quiet location above Seis am Schlern, a village of the town council of Kastelruth und on foot of the Seiser Alm, the largest high mountain pasture in Europe. The centre of Seis am Schlern is just 2,5km away from us, and the centre of Kastelruth just 5,5km. The farmhouse is at 1200 metres above sea level, has a wonderful view of the Schlern, the south Tyrolean landmark, and is surrounded by meadows and woods.
You can reach the Seiser Alm Bahn valley station by car in just 5minutes, by bus in 10 minutes.
You can reach the Seiser Alm by bus in about 20 minutes.
Hiking tours you can start directly from our farmhouse
From our farmhouse you can start various hiking tours like gentle and easy ones or steeper and more difficult others.
For example, you can walk to the ruin of castle Hauenstein, than to the ruins of castle Salegg, an than onward to the Völser Weiher lake, the Tuffalm and finally to Hofer Alpl or through Bad Ratzes high to the Seiser Alm and eventually further up to the Schlern.
For culture lovers
If you are interested in culture, we recommend a visit to the School museum in Tagusens, das Farmer’s museum at the Tschötscherhof farm in Sankt Oswald, the costume museum inside the historical residence Lächler in Kastelruth or the nature park Schlern – Rosengarten / Sciliar – Catinaccio visitor center in Seis.
Besides on the Schlern plateau there are throughout the whole year many concerts, various exhibition, guided tours, festivals, celebrations, and sport events.
